However you decide to fundraise, every pound that you raise takes us one step closer to beating childhood cancer.

Childhood cancer treatments are often harsh and distressing so the research we fund is looking for more effective and less toxic ways to treat childhood cancer. Find out more about where your money goes.

Raising funds on-line

Your Justgiving fundraising page is the quickest and easiest way to collect sponsorship. You can easily share your page with friends, families and colleagues and there is no cash to collect as all of the funds come direct to NECCR. If you register on-line for the run your page will automatically be created and you simply need to start using it. If you complete a paper entry form, or you aren’t sure how to activate your Justgiving page, please contact us at for help.

Some top tips:

  • Adding photos and videos to your on-line page can really boost your sponsorship
  • Share your page with all of your contacts on social media and via email
  • Let people know that their donation will be helping more children beat cancer
  • Check if your employer offers match funding

Sponsorship form

You will be sent a sponsorship form in with your run pack but you can download a form here if you would like to get started with your fundraising in the meantime.

Other fundraising

Sometimes people prefer to sponsor you in person. You can download your sponsor form above, print it and take it out and about with you. You will also receive a sponsor form in your Run Pack which will be sent to you in early September 2020.

If collecting sponsorship is a little daunting, you may like to think about other ways to raise funds.

We have loads of ideas to help you on the way – find out more here.

Why fundraise?

Childhood cancer remains the leading cause of non-accidental death among children in the UK. Your fundraising will help more children like Katie beat cancer. Watch more about Katie’s story here:

What you’ve helped raise...

The Children’s Cancer Run has raised over £7 million for research into childhood cancer carried out in the Wolfson Childhood Cancer Research Centre. The research team works closely with the Great North Children’s Hospital where children diagnosed with cancer from across the North of England come for specialist care.
