250 riders got on their bikes for the first ever Children’s Cancer Ride in Newcastle
One of the world's best-known brass bands is set to make its debut in an iconic North East venue to raise money for research into childhood cancer.
The Grimethorpe Colliery Band will be playing at Durham Cathedral from 7.30pm on Saturday 14 April to raise money for the North of England Children's Cancer Research Fund (NECCR).
A North East charity fun run attracting around 10,000 runners annually has this year raised over £249,000 for research into childhood cancer.
