NECCR is stopping the distribution of its' charity collection bags
Professor Steven Clifford , Director of Newcastle University Centre for Cancer has given us update on how research has still managed to continue during the COVID pandemic, albeit with some differences.
Two of our wonderful trustees are fundraisers of the month! Sally Cowling and Ian Birtwistle are both huge supporters of the charity, both in giving their time as trustees and in fundraising too.
It is with great regret that the NECCR have taken the difficult decision to postpone the Children’s Cancer Run for the 2nd time this year and move it back to our ‘normal time of year’ next year – to the 23rd May 2021.
As a 9 year old, Jon was diagnosed with Leukemia. He was treated at Newcastle's RVI hospital for three years, and now as an adult he is committed to raising money to help fund research into childhood cancer.
Usually at this time of the year we are sharing all of the fantastic photos from Children’s Cancer Run day, sharing with you lovely memories of what is a very special day in the North East calendar of events. As you know, we have had to put everything on hold this year and, like so many areas of our lives, we cannot be certain about what the next few months hold.
